Antietam Creek Canoe/Kayak River Paddle

Location:  Devil's Backbone County Park

Start date:  Friday, May 19, 2023

Time:  Meet at 9:30 am (weather and water-level dependent)

Description:  We will meet at Devil's Backbone County Park on Route 68, west of Boonsboro, MD at 9:30 am to set up the car shuttle to Sharpsburg.  We will then paddle from Devil's Backbone to the take out at the confluence of the Antietam with the Potomac.  This is a nice, fairly easy creek with riffles and one class 2 rapid near the end of the run.  Bring all your necessary equipment, lunch, and water.  Since we will shuttle carpooling, masks are required.
