An Introduction to Pickleball
Pickleball is a new and fast growing sport. Come join us! All members are welcome into the FSC Pickleball group as we are all learning and growing with the increasing popularity of the sport. Those with experience in racquet sports such as tennis, racquetball, table tennis, squash, or badminton have the basic skills to easily acclimate to the fun. If interested, members can join the FSC Pickleball WhatsApp group to keep in the loop as to when we gather to play. If you are interested in Pickleball, be sure to update your membership profile and select Pickleball under WhatsApp.
The group plays outside at Max Kehne Park (off of Fairfield Ave. between Rosemont Ave. and 7th St.) when weather is appropriate.
Also, when weather is not cooperating, there are playing opportunities independent of the the ski club inside at the YMCA (downtown and Urbana), the Talley Center, Trinity Church and Deer Crossing Elementary School, to name a few. Groups are cropping up everywhere.
