Lower Monocracy River Paddle

Location:  Buckeystown Park, MD

Start date:  Saturday May 13, 2023

Time:  Meet at 9:00 am

Description:  We will meet at the Buckeystown Park to drop kayaks/canoes and then shuttle cars to the mouth of the Monocacy.  This will take about forty minutes if we rock and roll.

The trip should take from 4 to 5-1/2 hours depending how fast the river is, how fast we paddle, and how long we stop.  We will stop about half way for lunch/snack break so bring food.

Life vests are required.  The water will be cold so wear appropriate clothing and avoid cotton because it does not dry fast.

Weather will determine our trip the prediction is a possibility of rain.  We cannot reschedule a rain date (Sunday is Mother's Day) at this time.
