Bike Ride on the Route 9 Bike Path 

We will ride 21 miles from Charles Town to Martinsburg and back on a mostly flat, paved path passing a nature preserve, farms, and orchards with rural views.

Wheels down at 10 a.m. from the trail parking lot located on Charles Town Road at Currie Road (this is at the Currie Road exit from Route 9 heading towards Martinsburg). This will be a C-level ride which is an average pace of 10 to 12 MPH led by Beth Ramaccioti and should take approximately two hours.

After the ride, we will drive into nearby downtown Charles Town for lunch at a restaurant on W. Washington Street.  Options include BBQ, Tacos, a brewery with a pizza shop, and a Puerto Rican vegetarian restaurant among others.  For those who don't want to bike, feel free to walk part of the path or stroll around downtown Charles Town and join the cyclists for lunch.
