Come From Away is a remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland during the aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy, and the community that invited these "come from aways" into their homes and lives with open hearts.

What started as an average day in a small town turned in to an international sleep-over when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from across the globe, were diverted to Gander’s air strip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travellers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

Tickets are $45 and will be purchased for the group on May 24th  so be sure to sign up and pay Mindy for your ticket BY MAY 23rd. Depending on the final number of attendees, the tickets may be discounted and the price adjusted later. 

Totem Pole Playhouse is a beautiful summer theater near Caledonia in the Michaux State Forest in Pennsylvania. Last summer we saw the wonderful musical Beautiful about Carole King there. We will arrange carpools nearer the time.
