The Challenge, Part II

Meet at 9:00 am at parking lot of Walkersville Fire Department; wheels rolling at 9:30 am

We began the bike season with a few short, easy rides. The goal of the summer riding season has been to get our legs and aerobics strong for the skiing season, with the rides getting tougher as we went along.  Now, as we near the end of the biking season, here is a short, hard ride, through the back roads and rolling hills of Walkersville, Lewistown and Woodsboro. It’s only 19 miles long, but by the time we get to Woodsboro, you’ll be cursing Jeff and you’ll be glad it’s only 19 miles long. The challenge is to do this one without walking your bike at any point, and if you’re successful you’ll know that you’re ready for ski season! After the ride, we can enjoy lunch at one of Walkersville’s gourmet (not) restaurants. That means pizza unless you really, really want to go to McDonald’s.  Helmets required.

RSVP:  Please RSVP here or on the WhatsApp channel “FSC Cycling” and for same day msgs.

Leader Name:  Jeff Gere
